Happy Monday everyone! I spent this past weekend switching over my closet from Summer to Fall in preparation of some (finally) cooler temps! I am so excited for the cooler weather and some warm Starbucks drinks. I still tend to order iced drinks in the morning which is bizarre to me!
*Guilty confession* – I am already SO over Halloween and ready for Christmas and the holiday season to be here! I am probably the most obsessed person when it comes to the Christmas season so stay tuned for some holiday inspired posts (food, fashion, and home decor) very soon!
I have even started watching the Hallmark Channel every day for their “Fall Harvest” movies, but even more excited for their “Countdown to Christmas” preview! Anyone who knows me knows that Christmastime makes me happier than anything in this world. I literally told my boyfriend William the other day that if it was not for my birthday being in January I would go into a serious post-Christmas depression!
I also re-applied my eyelash extensions this weekend from a long hiatus from them. I had not had eyelashes since my birthday in January! I went to a new location called Sweet Lashes in Queens. They were super inexpensive and quick to apply! The results were amazing and I have decided that I will not go this long without them ever. I felt like myself again!
As for other things I was doing this weekend, I spent my Sunday on a small *but lethal* shopping trip to Sephora with my bestie. I picked up some necessities, ones I knew I wanted to re-purchase and others I took her suggestion on.
Some of my past purchases include:
Urban Decay Primer Potion– If you don’t own or have never tried this eyeshadow primer, it’s a must! It is the only eyeshadow primer that lasts for the whole day! Another good option for eyeshadow primer is this one from Nars. It is completely smudge-proof and lasts even through the warmest temperatures.
Benefit Watt’s Up!– This highlighter is my go-to for everyday glam! I use my finger to warm up and melt the product to make it easier to blend into my skin and then apply it just above the apples of my cheeks and onto my brow bone. If needed, the product comes with a blending brush for smoother application!
Some new finds to try:
I am always looking to try new foundations as my tan fades from summer. I always love to keep a touch of a glow and decided to try something new with this Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation. This out of the new collection exclusively for Sephora from Too Faced is a mattifying, oil-free foundation. I decided to try out this new product to give some light coverage to my sensitive, acne-prone, skin.
A new lip product always needs to be purchased with every trip to Sephora. I have always loved the Tarte Tarteist lip paints so this time I decided to go for something more creamy and glossy and not so matte. The Tarte Tarteist Glossy Lip Paint in the color ‘double tap’ is the perfect mauve for the Fall.
It seemed as if every employee I spoke to at Sephora was pushing the new Fenty by Rihanna line! I was in search of a bronzing stick as the one I was using from summer was way too dark for my skin now. I decided to pick up the Match Stix Matte Skinstick as a contour/bronzing stick and we shall see what all the hype is about!
A final recommendation from my bestie was the Shiseido Facial Cotton. I have forever heard about these cotton pads from endless Youtubers, friends, and family but have never come around to purchasing them! 5$ for 40 pads and 10$ for 165 pads is not terrible when it comes to the quality of these babies! Even through the packaging, these soft cotton sheets are non-abrasive and perfect to remove and apply liquid to the skin. I am excited to try these with eye makeup remover and serums.
I hope you enjoyed these picks from my Sephora purchase! I am super excited because November means Holiday shopping as well as the Sephora VIB Sale! If I end up loving these products I will be sure to re-purchase these and more at that sale which I will definitely share with you all!
I hope you all have a great rest of the week!
