One of my absolute favorite ways to celebrate the holidays is to take a day trip into the city. Thank God I am thankful enough to live only half an hour away from the most magical city in the world during Christmastime (and anytime quite frankly!)
This past weekend Will and I decided to head into Manhattan to see all of the spectacular holiday windows for the season. I was so overcome with emotions when seeing these windows that I almost literally started to tear. The amount of detail and precision in each window from Saks to Bergdorf’s is absolutely impeccable. Saks theme this year is of Snow White and is as magical as ever, where as Bergdorf’s windows are exceptional and based off of historical museums and landmarks in NYC.
One of our favorite spots in all the city is a tiny gem right below the Plaza hotel. It’s called Ora di Pasta and I can attest to it being some of the best pasta in NYC. I have been to Italy and you guys, this place is second to it! I always get the truffle gnocchi with mushrooms whenever I go. It is seriously heaven.
I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving day and long weekend spent with the ones you love. I know I sure did but now it’s back to the rush before the holidays!
