It has been a long time coming now that I have wanted to find a place for my makeup storage. For the past few months, I have opted to have my makeup in acrylic organizers in my desk. Although this allowed for more desk room, I found myself having a hard time getting to certain palettes and smaller things like tweezers and such. I knew that if I was able to see all of my makeup it would also allow me to use a whole lot more of it.
I had been putting off getting an acrylic makeup organizer for a while now because I genuinely could not justify purchasing one for $200. When I found the current makeup storage I have now through Amazon (yes, you read that right!,) I was amazed by the quality, how quickly it shipped and the insane price of only $54.99 at the time. It is almost identical to that $200 one I was about to throw money on and it even has a full lid onto for even more storage.
I wish I could go through every single makeup item I own and give you a description of what it is and why I like it but that would take me days to write. I basically organize my makeup by drawer and by section of my face or in order of how I like to do my makeup.
The top open compartment of my storage has my daily essentials- moisturizer, eyelash serum, lip scrub, brushes etc. Things I reach for everyday. Then you move down to my lipstick drawer. Here I keep lipsticks that I currently have on rotation for the season. I keep summer/spring shades in the back for now.
The next drawer is not shown in pictures because it currently is a bit messy, but it contains my mascara (which I live by, it is linked down below), my beauty blenders, concealers, and knick-knacks like tweezers, eyelash glue, and smaller brushes.
The drawer after is one of my favorites as it contains my bronzers, highlighters, and blushes. I feel that these completely transform my makeup and honestly make me not look like a ghost everyday, I hate being pale.
My fourth drawer is where I store my foundations and tinted moisturizers. On an everyday basis I swear by Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer for an everyday glow. On nights or weekends my go-to products are linked. They give a bit more coverage for longer days.
My final drawer contains all of my eyeshadow palettes which on most days I stay pretty neutral for my eyes, but I also like to go for a bolder, more smokey eye other days. My favorites are also linked in the shop the post link.
I hope you all have enjoyed my makeup storage! I thought it was appropriate to show as I also did a major makeup clean-out recently. Gotta get a fresh start to the new year!
